Many studies have done over the years to both men and women to analyse the relationship between quality amount of sleep and risk of death. And, most often reported that poor sleep is directly associated with increased risk for death as well as diseases like obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Here is what one Professor Walhqvist said:
"We found that for both genders, poor sleep was strongly correlated with poor appetite and poor perceived health".
Therefore, it is advisable for adults to get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep each night. Keep in mind that deep sleep is more replenishing and refreshing to the whole being. Deep sleep rebuilds the cells, hence, is very vital to your immune system as well.
If you would like to live longer and prevent several diseases, then you should consider getting at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night coupled with a balanced diet. "Remember, happy sleep, happy life".
Enjoy your day!
