Rediscover 'You' After an Affair

After the upheaval resulting from the revelation of a spousal affair, your world may seem shattered into so many fragments that you may not even know which piece to pick up first.

Maybe you have a family to consider, children that could possible affected negatively by the cheating spouse's behaviour.  The impact can really affect your life, home and the ability to function in the family.  Obviously, you have your marriage to think about which is now in shreds. The struggle is now yours to over-come with the inner turmoil which is no doubt affecting your focus.

At this point, it is very important that you first focus on yourself. This does not mean everything else is excluded but that you are first priority and here is why.  Everything that you are presently involved with depends on a crucial component and that is: a strong and whole you.

As you attempt to take this stance in your life, you may feel some guilt in an effort to rediscover yourself or a complete reinvention of who you are.  Before your spouse's affair, you usually take care of  everyone needs ahead of yours, so yes, you might  feel selfish and it's normal to feel this way.

During this evolving process, its still uncertain how this will all play out at this time except for your commitment to your own needs, wants and values.  Do not forget however, that this gift to yourself is also a great gift to others.  If you have children, they will have a chance to observe how you handle a crisis of this magnitude and come out of it even stronger.  If you have a job, you may well bring a fresh and new inspiration to the workplace environment.

Remember, this is not selfish because if you become sick, you take some rest along with medication and lots of fluid to maintain hydration.  Therefore, this time you have taken out for your self-rediscovery is called, 'the healing process'.  A time to heal, grow and sharpen the unique individual you really are.

Please join in the conversation and stay tuned for part (2).

Brain Health

When  you  are young and vibrant, the last thing you think about, is your brain health and that might be the very reason why as we age and the symptoms of cognitive decline alert us, it  can be very frightening.  But it doesn't have to be that way at all.

No one wants to lose their memory and mental abilities to cognitive decline if we can humanly avoid  such demise.  The current statistics on cognitive decline in this country is believed that 1 in 8 Americans by the age 65, will suffer from cognitive decline and by age 80, 1 in 2  will, that's troubling.

What i will say here is, based on the various research i have done, simply indicate that we must be vigilant with our health matters by doing all we can to 'prevent cognitive decline' instead of trying to cure it if it does occur.  How?

There are some easy and simple ways to keep our brain sharp and healthy.  Do this by keeping our systems clear of excessive inflammation buid-up, reduce refined foods intake, make every effort to eat high fibre foods and  maintain an active life-style.  The brain is a fatty organ so it's safe to ingest good oils including coconut oil and virgin olive oil.

On the other hand, for centuries, one of the  the main spices  used in India is Turmeric, and is widely used in  many of their appetising dishes.

It is scientifically prov en that the curcumin in turmeric is an antioxidant compound that is a natural brain protecting substance, it is also good for liver health.  It is noted that India has the lowest statistics of cognitive decline worldwide.

As usual, I do like to keep it simple to avoid too much stress.  There are turmeric, curcumin and curry powder.  In many cases, they are all combined and can be found separately.  However, to find the genuine curcumin can be a challenge but very possible.   There are capsules on the market as a dietary supplement.  Hot drinks can be made with these spices such as: broths adding garlic chives and noodles, teas and  lots of tasty dishes.

Finally, there is a very good chance that by using this  powerful spice 'curcumin'  frequently, not just your brain but your overall health will be greatly benefitted for sure.

Still Thinking About Fat -Loss?

There's a lot of hype about losing weight these days, hence, it has become more and more difficult to trust  which is the best programme to purchase.

Well, in my opinion, it's not just what to purchase, instead, what will work for me as a person.  Many weight-loss programmes on the market work differently for different people.  So i think, its a good idea to first try to figure out exactly what your needs are in such endeavor, get some ideas from others about what they use and how well its working for them.  At this point, you can now  assess the programme and give it some thought whether or not you think it will meet your particular needs and take it from there.

Testimonials about a programme of interest can make a strong impression  when hearing what others who might have had similar needs to yours can certainly be an eye opener at times; especially when trying to make the right decision on a weight-loss programme Click here and  Visit here.

Good health to you all.

For many people, owning a house is a dream come through.  Some people feel that if they keep renting homes to live in with their families, it's a constant reminder of the fact that all rental payments could be invested in their own home, thus, building equity in the process.  In fact, for many, owning their homes have reduced their high blood pressure rate and are more balanced in their overall  health.

Keep Active-Stay Healthy

It is not always realistic for many people to go to the gym every day or even a few days in a given week, whether being a member or not with a gymnasium.  The truth of the matter is, for the average young working family to make the time to go to the gym after working hours or before going on the job in the mornings can be daunting.  It really isn't an easy task.

Some of the main setbacks for not getting to the gym to keep the body toned could be a factor of various issues such as, lack of finances, after school child care, enthusiasm, availability of gymnasiums close to home, tiredness, after school programmes or as the case might be.  However, in such cases mentioned, you can  do activities with low cost or no cost at all while maintaining a healthy you.

Take for instance, instead of driving, walk to the post office,  to the shopping mall for small items, take the stairs instead of the elevator, if possible, ride the bike to work instead of driving, if you must drive, park a little distance from your place of work then walk and at lunch time take a walk around the block.  If you like gardening, that's also a very rewarding  activity around your home as well.

By doing these costless activities daily, you will no doubt enjoy them because you won't have to take any time away from your regular routine or your family time together.  And needless to say how stress free with little or no excessive financial cost.  In most cases, we don't think of these no-cost exercises as our own private and free gymnasiums but in our real world it is.  What do you think?  Please join in the conversation, love to get your feedback.

Have fun while you stay healthy and balanced.

Does Anyone You Know Needs To See The Doctor?

Sometimes trying to speak to someone about their health is not the easiest thing to do because you don't want to overstep your boundaries, or make someone feels pressured  or feelings of guilt.

However, when you spend a lot of time around a loved one or an associate, you tend to notice how they live, the things they do or don't do.  Thus, you no doubt can assess how the person's health might be.  Not because a person looks healthy means they are and daily exposure to such person's lifestyle can certainly give you some insight.

A number of people just don't like going to the doctor, mainly because they are scared of the results and at times will feel that there is no need to do so.  When a person is close to you their health does affect you as much as it is to them.

I would suggest that you try to speak with the person in a graceful manner without making the person feels uncomfortable.  It can be difficult but its possible to do so.

The first is a recognition that the person is unhealthy, maybe not eating at mealtime, appearing ill, lack of energy and  coughing, this might be a good time to have a talk.

A change of life-style, healthy meals and  adequate sleep might be the answer to restored health but if  the problems persist, its time to get to the doctor.

Healthy And Balanced In Relationships Cont'd.

As I have said in the previous post that, arguments and or disagreements in a marriage is quite normal but never allow your home to become a battle-ground.  It is note-worthy to think of your health at all times.   The less stress marriage/relationship equals to a healthier life.

One of the dangers in stirring up battles is that when there is a disagreement, it can become very heated or blown out of proportion and can ignite hostility between you and your spouse.  The attacks may get to personal involving name-calling resulting in dismissing each other reasoning of opinions on the topic.  This can no doubt evaporates the trust that is so crucial to a healthy relationship.

Therefore, instead of looking at every argument to determine who 'won' or 'lost,' it would be more effective to take a look at your history together in your marriage.  if you are satisfied that you both have been giving fairly to each other, then the possibility is that you both know how to compromise and are doing good.

Again, listen to each other out, no matter how strongly you may feel about the issue.  It is a good practise to listen each other and repeat in your own words what you have heard the speaker said.  The speaker will decide if the listener understands their thoughts and feelings before moving forward.

At this point, you both will agree that each of you fully understand the other's position.  Everybody welcomes  being understood.

Healthy And Balanced In Relationships

If you are married and are living together, it is better for both individuals to never allow your matrimonial home become a battlefield.  That is, sometimes one might have to decide that in the case of a disagreement, you can 'agree to disagree'.  In other words, none of the two has to win or lose the argument.

These behaviours of arguing to win can affect intimacy in such very negative ways, intimacy can be lost somewhere in the park or in the dark. You no longer enjoy each others company as once did,  while a few disagreements can be very, very, meaningful and often times cause a marriage to feel that a divorce is the only solution to the issues at hand but not necessarily so.

Since disagreements in relationships are very normal, one must not forget that each individual in the relationship is unique.  As such, with ones own experiences, thoughts, feelings and needs, no doubt, there will be arguments.   Not forgetting, in many scenarios of an argument, it is because each individual cares deeply for the other.

On that note however, disagreements do need to be dealt with appropriately.  Stirring up a battle is never a healthy behaviour to maintain in relationships.  Neither it's ever a good idea to be constantly contradictory, it will not help in any way positively.

There must be a compromise somewhere in the midst of it all for any relationship to grow healthy and balanced.   Always try to make a conscious effort to listen to each others concerns on the issue discussed and ascertain each other that the concern is understood; after which the decision on the compromise can be discussed.

Finally, even though you will not always have a perfect compromise, but as long as both party can agree on the decision made then its evident there is hope for progress.  Stay tuned for next discussion.

Have a joyous and healthy day.
