Foods That Can Help Arthritis

ENGLAND—A recent study conducted at the University of East Anglia and published inArthritis and Rheumatism found that consuming broccoli could help reduce the symptoms of arthritis.
The study analyzed a group of mice, it is noted that mice have very similar bodily functions as humans. The mice were given the nutrients found in broccoli and the researchers analyzed their joints and inflammation before and after consuming the nutrients.
The team found that a sulfur compound found in broccoli helped significantly slow down the erosion of cartilage in the joints. Specifically, this sulfur compound reduces inflammation, which is one of the main culprits that causes the cartilage that protect bones to wear away; this is what leads to arthritis.
In addition to broccoli, other cruciferous vegetables provide this benefit as well. These vegetables include:
·         Cabbage
·         Cauliflower
·         Brussels sprout
If you are interested in preventing or alleviating symptoms of arthritis, you might want to consider adding broccoli to your daily diet.

Have a great day.
