Sometimes trying to speak to someone about their health is not the easiest thing to do because you don't want to overstep your boundaries, or make someone feels pressured or feelings of guilt.
However, when you spend a lot of time around a loved one or an associate, you tend to notice how they live, the things they do or don't do. Thus, you no doubt can assess how the person's health might be. Not because a person looks healthy means they are and daily exposure to such person's lifestyle can certainly give you some insight.
A number of people just don't like going to the doctor, mainly because they are scared of the results and at times will feel that there is no need to do so. When a person is close to you their health does affect you as much as it is to them.
I would suggest that you try to speak with the person in a graceful manner without making the person feels uncomfortable. It can be difficult but its possible to do so.
The first is a recognition that the person is unhealthy, maybe not eating at mealtime, appearing ill, lack of energy and coughing, this might be a good time to have a talk.
A change of life-style, healthy meals and adequate sleep might be the answer to restored health but if the problems persist, its time to get to the doctor.
Have a healthy day!
